Ongoing airstrikes in Singu Township kill 35, including women and children

The small village of Let Pan Hla has faced relentless junta airstrikes in recent weeks, sparking questions about why the regime is targeting a quiet residential community

Three people were killed Monday evening when Myanmar junta forces launched airstrikes on a village in Singu Township, Mandalay Region, an area under National Unity Government (NUG) control, according to local sources. Airstrikes on Singu have been ongoing since mid-March, with resistance sources saying the bombings on Let Pan Hla have brought the death toll to 35.According to a male resident, who requested anonymity, the junta air strike began at approximately 6pm, resulting in many casualties, all of whom were women.“A resistance checkpoint is located nearby the village,” he said.  “The airstrike was aimed at that, but the bomb overshot and exploded here instead.
