Junta shelling kills five in a single household in Magway village, including children

Sources say the strike was in retaliation to recent attacks on a nearby regime weapons factory

Junta artillery fire killed five members of a family on Sunday, including five-year-old twins, in Seikphyu Township, Magway Region, resistance forces reported.

On the evening of January 26, artillery fire from a regime weapons factory struck a home in Kin Mun Taunt, killing two five-year-old twin boys, their uncle, and their grandmother instantly. Their aunt, in her 40s, died on the way to the hospital, according to the Seikphyu Township People's Defense Organisation (PDO). The mother of the children suffered chest injuries and is receiving medical treatment.

"It hit the front of the house, the iron bed frame where they were laying was destroyed,” said David, the deputy leader of the Seikphyu PDO, who goes by one name. 

“It was just one shell. The twins' lower bodies were destroyed. Although their faces remained intact, their lower bodies were almost completely gone from the abdomen. . .
