The structure at a football training field in front of the Thuwanna Stadium in Thingangyun township, Yangon, will have 400 beds. Yangon’s regional government decided to build it as the number of Covid-19 patients reached 700 at the Phaunggyi medical center in Hlegu. Building work is due to be finished on Friday, September 18, said Zaw Zaw, chair of the Myanmar Football Federation and a well-known military crony, during a public meeting with regional social affairs minister Naing Ngan Lin.
