A junta column that has been raiding villages in Sagaing Region’s Budalin Township for the past month killed another civilian and torched more homes last week, according to local sources.
The column of around 100 troops is accused of killing at least 24 civilians and holding dozens more hostage since it started its campaign of terror in the township on October 11.
The latest reported incident was on November 6, when it killed a man in his 60s as he attempted to flee an attack on the village of Thar Hpan, located just east of the town of Budalin.
